Our goal is to provide interactive lessons & mentorship to amateur artists.  To give our time in a supportive environment for new talent by building self esteem through music & learning to set personal goals. In group and individual workshops and classes. Partnerships with community services such as schools, recreation departments, youth groups and family agencies are important to connect with the needs within the community and assist in co-ordinating events like our workshops and performances.

We have a large roster of facilitators in every aspect of the music industry from song-writers, music teachers, to producers and record company executives. Our facilitators are professional musicians, clinicians and music industry representitives.

 
In our program we provide:
Orientation: Facilitators stories, music and life experiences leading into music. The focus will be directed toward positive choices, setting goals, dedication to the development of healthy self esteem and pride in our songs.

Song-Writing & Empowerment: Aim to empower and raise the confidence of young people. Encourage participation in songwriting. Students will experience first hand what it takes to work in the music industry. Acoustic performance of original material is incorporated into the presentations. Topics include Self-Esteem, Respect, Confidence using music as a healthy alternative.

Song Circle: Open discussion and sharing of songs,  focus on basic elements of song-writing with performances of original work in progress and completed songs by all participants in a positive environment.

Beginner to Advanced Guitar/Bass/Drums Lessons: Learn the functions of each instrument, how to tune and care for your instrument, basic rhythms, chords used in country, rock, gospel and blues styles.

Vocal Coaching: Coaches will discuss function and care of your voice, basic breathing skills, warm ups, techniques and tricks of the trade.

Stage Presence/Performance: Playing with a live band. Sound check, gear and working with a band. Learn to make contact with the audience.
Recording: Participants will be able to records a demo of their song(s) with the assistance of a producer, & professional musicians. Demonstration and use of basic recording gear and recording techniques. We discuss the process of recording both demos and album quality sound recordings.Participants will then be able to use the recordings to build their artist portfolios.

Music Business 101: Learn about the audio recording process, recording a demo, developing online presence (MySpace, Garageband, etc). Your songs on the radio. Building a basic press marketing kit. Hands on assistance with creating support materials for each participant.

Music Business 102: The changing face of the music business: Downloads VS CDs. Making money in a digital age as an independent musicians. Myths and facts about booking agents, managers, record companies and radio airplay.
